Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma’s romantic flick has been adjudged Best Film at the BL Awards 2012
Jab Tak Hai Jaan made a clean sweep to win the Best Film trophy at the BollywoodLife Awards 2012. Maybe because the film brought Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif together, or maybe because it was Yash Chopra’s last film – we don’t know what the real reason is – but Jab Tak Hai Jaan got the maximum votes at 53 percent.
Surprisingly, Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, which we expected to be close competition, was a distant second, with only 16 percent votes. The actor’s recent release Dabangg 2 followed at 11 percent. You can imagine the fate of the remaining movies in the nominations list. Barfi! got 6 percent votes, whileTalaash and OMG! Oh My God were tied at the fifth place with just 3 percent votes.
Wethinks this gap might also be because more Shahrukh and Salman fans cast their votes. Or is it that people still prefer SRK and Sallu’s movies to hatke ones like Talaash, Kahaani, English Vinglish, Vicky Donor, Paan Singh Tomar, or violent ones like Gangs of Wasseypur and Agneepath? The verdict is out on what the public likes, and it’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan!
